“From Bald Mountain”, 35mm Photograph. 2017

Part of a larger body of exhibited work, these photographs are a study of the social landscape in New Brunswick with particular focus on the greater Saint John region. The rugged and natural landscape juxtaposed with industry highlights the beauty of the ordinary while confronting the socioeconomic condition in a place dominated by industrial corporation. The full devastation experienced by the population from this geological and environmental metamorphose remains to be seen, though it is already apparent that there has been substantial impact on water systems and forestry in the area.
